This Thursday we took our top performing Year 9 science students to the Science & Engineering Showcase at the University of Plymouth. From robotics and chemistry, to marine life and computing, there were interactive displays demonstrating how staff, students, researchers, partners and professionals are collaborating to impact everyday lives.

Students were able to engage in a wide range of activities, including operating robotics, animal handling and experimenting with buoyancy while learning about the opportunities to study in higher education.   Our students used this experience to ask all their questions about university and science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) opportunities.   

We hope this experience will encourage students to further consider careers in STEM areas and increase their knowledge of the wide variety of opportunities available to them.
