Year 8 Trip to Plymouth University Marine Station

Some top Y8 students were invited to take part in an activity day at the Plymouth University Marine Station.

This Tuesday we offered Year 8 students with the highest combined reward points and attendance the opportunity to take part in an activity day at the Plymouth University Marine Station.

Students spent the day engaging in a range of workshops with an environmental science focus, including an oil spill challenge, microscope practical and fish detective activity.  Students were then treated to a pizza lunch and finished the day with marine life bingo and prizes.

We are very proud of the way our students represented the Coombe Dean community as they fully engaged in activities and the organisers felt that our students were exceptional. Some were even asking questions that they would expect of their degree students!
